Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-05-25 · version 2.0

These terms govern your use of Cadence. By creating an account you agree to them. Read carefully; they include a liability cap.

What Cadence is

Cadence is software that helps Instagram creators and small teams analyze competitor reels and carousels, generate content ideas in their own voice, and manage their posting pipeline. We provide the software. You provide the Instagram accounts, the API keys, and the creative judgment.

Accounts and workspaces

A single account can create and belong to multiple workspaces. Each workspace has one Owner who is responsible for billing and for every action taken inside that workspace. Owners and Admins can invite teammates by email and assign one of these roles: Admin, Strategist, Editor, or Viewer.

If you invite a teammate, you confirm you have the right to share access to the workspace's data with that person, and you accept these terms on their behalf for everything they do inside the workspace until you revoke their access.

BYOK

Cadence is a bring-your-own-keys product. You connect your own Apify, OpenRouter, Google AI, and optionally Anthropic keys. You pay those providers directly for usage. Cadence bills only its software subscription and never marks up or resells provider usage.

Acceptable use

  • Only add Instagram accounts you own, manage with explicit permission, or legitimately monitor as public competitors. Do not use Cadence to stalk, harass, or scrape private accounts or accounts that have blocked you.
  • Do not use Cadence to generate or distribute illegal content, hate speech, sexual content involving minors, or content that infringes third-party intellectual property.
  • Do not invite teammates who have not consented to join your workspace, or use invites to spam.
  • No spam, no deceptive automation, no bypassing rate limits.

Service availability

We target 99% monthly uptime. This is a target, not a contractual SLA. We schedule maintenance and tell you in advance when we can.

Billing and cancellation

Subscriptions run monthly or yearly, billed in advance via Stripe. The Owner of each paid workspace is the billing contact. You can cancel any time from your billing portal and the subscription will end at the end of the current paid period. We do not refund partial periods beyond Stripe's default behavior.

Intellectual property

You own the ideas, scripts, captions, slide plans, and content items Cadence generates for your workspace. Cadence owns its platform code, its prompt library, its UI, and its brand. You grant us a limited license to process your workspace data solely to provide the service.

Disclaimer and liability cap

The service is provided "as is". Our aggregate liability to you for any claim is capped at the fees you paid to Cadence in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for provider outages (Apify, OpenRouter, Google, Anthropic, Resend, Stripe), for decisions you make based on Cadence's output, or for losses arising from Instagram policy changes.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes will be brought before the courts of Mumbai, Maharashtra, unless applicable consumer protection law requires otherwise.

Changes

We may update these terms. We will notify you in-app and by email. Continued use after notice means acceptance.
